Dr. Namita Sharma is an experienced medical oncologist with over 20 years of experience in the fields of medicine and medical oncology. She is a caring doctor and a highly skilled physician.

She did MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Following this she worked as a physician at Holy Family Hospital, Delhi and then at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi. She developed a keen interest in oncology and decided to pursue further studies in medicine. She completed DM in Medical Oncology in 2016 from Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. As a DM scholar she had a rich experience in treating both solid cancers and haematological cancers. She also appeared for and cleared SCE (Specialist Certificate) in Medical Oncology from Royal College of Physicians (RCP) - UK, and was endowed with the prestigious FRCP (Fellow of Royal College of Physicians, London) in 2023.

Her areas of expertise include Cancer immunotherapy, Cancer targeted therapy, Chemotherapy, Hormone therapy, Palliative care and pain management. She is a member of European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Indian Society of Oncology (ISO) and Immuno-Oncology Society of India (IOSI). She has penned several publications for indexed journals and has been invited as guest speaker and faculty at various national & international conferences. She believes in a holistic approach to patient care - that goes beyond physical care and also addresses the psychological, familial, societal, ethical and spiritual as well as biological dimensions of health.

  • Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. Old cells do not die and instead grow out of control, forming new, abnormal cells.
