Detecting Cancer Stage by Radiology

Radiology is also known as imaging tests. This test is used to look for cancer, find out how far it has spread, and to help see if cancer treatment is working. It can be used for cancer in many ways:

• Early Detection – used to look for cancer in its early stages (when it’s small and has not spread), and a person has no symptoms.
• They can be used to look for a mass or lump (tumor) if a person has symptoms.
• They can help find out the stage of the cancer.
• They can help find out if a cancer has come back (recurred) after treatment

• Stage III: Locally Advanced
• Stage IV: Very advanced and spread to different organs
